Bob, I too ( as You certainly know ) like Your car - ad - dog shots in the wilderness.

This forum lost a lot of posters as of its former slowlyness . Problem is always:  the spare time of the protagonists is as rare as ours - as long as beeing still in jobs..

I visited Techno Classica oldtimer fair last weekend, and  a friend got me while starting back home onn the VIP (=oldtimer cars) parking. (besides is a Morris minor Station)
So, winter is over here also!

Thanks for all the comments fellas.

Chet, My wife and I drove by the Roscoe Diner last week on our way up to the Utica area to visit her 93 year old Father, the parking lot was darn near full.

Jim, if the roads are wet shortly after a snow storm, i don't take the Plymouth out, but if the roads are dry, I do take her out and about, but usually wait a few days after a snow storm for the salt dust to get pretty much off the road.

Don't ever feel that way Bob, I'm sure everyone enjoys the pictures and even if they don't I know you enjoy taking them and after all that's what really matters isn't it. Keep them coming.

I'm as guilty as anyone about not commenting on your photos but rest assured I very much enjoy see them (and Cooper too)!

I am particularly impressed that you take the Wayback Machine out in the snow. Even though my "Bluebelle" will never be a show car and my main enjoyment it taking her out for drives, I'm still too scared to take her out when the roads have been salted.

As a matter of fact, I had no pictures of her in the snow and thought one would be good for a future Christmas card, so I drove her out of the garage into the 6" of snow, took a couple of pictures, and backed her right back into the garage.

So... Keep enjoying your trips in the Wayback Machine and keep posting the pictures. They are very much appreciated!

BTW... I don't think I've ever seen a comment on this forum from anyone who looks down upon drivers nor praises show cars so I can't believe that is the motivation behind the lack of comments about your pictures, just sheer laziness on our part.

Hay Bob,

You posted these pictures this morning and received 6 responses including this one.  The point being is that although there are a lot of registered members not everyone checks in on a daily or weekly basis.   Actually I have been pretty busy with a million honey do?s that I haven?t even been able to get back to working on my car.  This weekend will be filled with yard work, so maybe next, it?s been a month since I turned a screw on the 48.

The point being is keep posting those pictures they are always welcome.  On day I might be able to do the same but for now still trying to find the time to get the car back together and on the road.

I bet you feel like you have a show car when you park your car in a parking lot and a people stat coming over and asking you a million questions. That and simple cruze-ins are what I enjoy most. I always get a good crowd at a rest stop or a Wal-Mart  parking lot. I Posted some pictures of my car on this sight and did not get a response like I was hoping for. Every one is in the club for a different reason and their all good reasons. Your pictures are telling us ( a picture is worth a thousand words) that you have a 1940 plymouth. flathead, that runs great. That information is valuable to the showcar people too. When we need technical information on keeping a flathead running its guys like you we all depend on.
Thanks and keep the pictures coming (that reassures us you know plymouths). Mike

Hey Bob,

Long live the Wayback Machine! The bottom photo is my favorite.

I just got home from helping my neighbor put new bushings in the rear suspension of his '99 Cadillac.

Bob -

Your photos are great. I love the sepia tone look.

I always enjoy seeing your pictures. I don't comment often, but that is not a reflection of my interest. However, I do always appreciate comments when I post and will try and do a better job of giving you a sense there really are people out here interested in what you are doing. :)

A few photos that I would like to share, although I very seldom get many comments except from the same people.  Sometimes I get the feeling that members would rather snub their noses as the "Wayback Machine" is a driver and not a show car

My feelings and I surely don't mean to affend anyone.
