I learned that the paint interchange for 1936 Plymouth Aquamarine Blue, is 1929 Ford Vagabond Green (IM-122). 

Heather Homan(Deskins),  Color Library CSR,  PPG Refinish, advised: "We do indeed have vagabond green, however it is currently available only in our Lacquer line, tell your distributor you would like vagabond green PPG number 112, and if he has a problem bringing up the formula to call 1-800-647-6050 options 1,1,2,0. And we will get a formula for him, I say this because he may not be able to bring it up in his system. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance!"

The Dupont numbers are vintage but I have heard that they can match a modern formula from them.

I did email PPG with the information you included, and am anxiously awaiting a reply. If the paint is available from PPG, I'll make sure it gets on the Forum!

Meanwhile, a computer-assisted paint supplier may also be able to help---I have one wheel that was in the trunk as a spare, and the paint on it is still pretty fresh looking.

I searched the Plymouth Bulletins on DVD index for keywords 1936 or paint, and found the following information.  I am not taking credit for the authors work, only passing on the information.  The paint interchange for 1936 Plymouth Aquamarine Blue, is 1929 Ford Vagabond Green (IM-122).  It was reported as recently as 1987 that any Ditzler paint dealer (now PPG) could provide this paint. I realize that was 21 years ago, but it might still be available.

The (apparently) original paint on my 1936 Plymouth P2 touring sedan matches the color chip labelled "Aquamarine Blue" in an old paint color book for Plymouths, put out by the Sherwin-Williams Co. for the year.

I emailed the company and received the reply that they could not translate the old color formula ingredients into current products.

I need some ideas about where & how to match this old color for painting my car.
