Very nice Ed.....great collection of visuals.? ?I bet folks stop by just to listen to the music from the 78's.....and yes, I remember them well.? ? ?Does your tool box contain automotive tools or just era tools of all types?

Actually, the tool box has a lot of "stuff"in it. The old tools, new (modern) tools, the 30's pictures, electrical tape, etc. It's not real big. got it at Lowe's a couple years ago. The tools are an old wood handled adjustable wrench, some open end wrenches, and a hand forged (I think) large screwdriver. always looking for more old auto tools at flea markets/yard sales. Most that I see have Ford stamped on them. Sometimes i'll take a portable CD player and hide it under the car and play 30's music (Mills Brothers, Cab Calloway, etc.). I also forgot to mention that my car has an original 1937 license plate. One time registration fee and doesn't have to be renewed every year.
We will be remembered by the tracks we leave behind.

When I show my '37 at the local cruise-ins, I have a crank up antique portable record player with 78 rpm records (remember them?), a wooden toolbox with old tools, original service and parts manuals. Sometimes I'll lay out photos of thirtys movie stars and gangsters and i have a large magazine ad for the '37 Plymouth. Wife and I are looking for 30's clothing to wear when we take the car out.

The Colorado plates are new, but have  its real numbers from 51. I clamp them with orthodontic spring wire, the original licence plates are perfectly hidden.

look at the surgical instruments roll bag and the car jack holding the foto boart.  It is heavy, so I put it far enough away from the car...

I have a nice little flag (pannon? see foto, is hanging on the windshield frame) from a dutch oldie show promotion with a foto glued on the back showing my dash before restoration of the wood imitation. That always gives some appreciation for the result.
On the back seat, I display an old radio, tennis racket and Brownie camera. This is secured by an extremely loud radar alarm in the back seat upholstery.
My Cola Cooler in its securing rack always is an eye catcher. (Contents: hats, goggles, gloves, shawls, US flags)
Using the bumper or the car jack as a stand (see foto), I hang a white particle board 3 pages wide on it.
I tape on a middle page with the Ply?s data, right one with Ply holidays travel fotos.
The left sheet has fotos of car with windows and ragtop closed (for fine weather shows= actual car is open)
or windows and ragtop open (to show aspect when car itself is closed because of rain).
The three sheets are laminated, the left one for rain or sun is printed on both sides, so I just can turn it over to show the correct side and tape it on. The board is stored in the trunk behind the back seat. I preferred this board to nicer frames because they are less prone to darnage and rain mess.
Especially the ladies look at the holiday trip fotos ? a lot of people is amazed that a 56 years old Plymouth still can run 7 hours of full throttle (less fueling stops) without any problem. Plymouth built great cars!
If being under surveillance, I put 2 folding tables displaying a file binder with travel essays plus fotos,  old advertising sheets, Ply Service manual, and a ?Good going in Your new Plymouth? copy, which are secured against the wind with cords and pistons and gears off former repairs. (put clear laquer on not to spoil anything.) All these are color copies, no originals for sure. All the gadgets are stored in one old suit case in the trunk.
I display historic military teeth surgery instruments roll, first aid kit, US- Bible (to be used in this sequence in case of failure of the previous step??.) ,

Greetings! Go

Eventually I also would like to put something  together: Last show a guy had his Restoration progress in pictures on a 2X 3 ft  poster board.....    a lot of people looked at it, some Evan took pictures of the pictures!   I think when you can find dealer display items or Evan catalogs of your car  color charts etc . and put them in  a nice board display it will make a big deference..  Just make sure its completely self understood in the presentation or you probably will be talking to people all day long at the event about the display instead of your car! ! When there is a good showing of people ,most want to talk to you, the ones that can't might really appreciate knowing what they can by looking at the displays ...

I'm wanting to put together a display board (or two?) about my car to use at future car shows.? ?I'm wondering what the thinking is from the group on actual making one of these displays?? Any basic ideas that need to be considered?? ?Materials to use?? ?Ideas for storage of the display boards when they aren't being used.? ?Concept related to the display itself.....what attracts and holds attention the best?? ? Stuff like that.
