Has anyon ever spotted the PA sports coupe in "Cannery Row" with "Nick Nolte" It's in the scene where the college kids show up at the whorehouse.? ::) great car, great movie! Bill

The Plymouth's in Bogart's "High Sierra" are a 1937 and a 1938.  Seems the producers kept switching cars during filming of the movie.  When he leaves the prison in Indiana, the car is a '37 - the closer he gets to California it becomes a '38, then back to the '37, then the '38.  Have it on tape but haven't watched it in awhile.  Often wondered if they used the same license plate on both cars--might be a good excuse to dig it out over Christmas and watch it again.  Bogie also drives a '38 coupe in "Dark Victory" with Bette Davis.  That movie also has two quick scenes with a '34 PE woodie station wagon in it.  Considering they only made 35 of them, its a rare car, even for the movies!

Bogey's characters Sam Spade & Phillip Marlowe both drive late 30's Plymouth coupes. A 37 or 38 I believe.

I've recently seen 2 other '35 Plymouth owners on this board, John Schuurman and Richard Wahrendorff. I was just wondering if we have others out there.

Just for fun... I have seen '35 Plymouths in two movies. In "THE NATURAL", Redford's sweetheart has a job as a waitress in a diner in Chicago, (I hope, that is correct, it has been a while since I've seen  it). Twice during the movie, they show the outside of the diner. Parked out in front is a "Plymouth Blue" touring sedan, looking very much like my own. The other place that I have seen a '35 is "IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE". When George Bailey us upset and goes for walk in downtown Bedford Falls, he runs into floozey Voilet. He tries to talk her into going for a barefoot walk in the grass and to watch the sunrise from the falls, or the mountain (I forget). Anyway, a crowd starts laughing at George's crazy ideas and as the camera pans back to see them, a '35 Plymouth business coupe drives by. You have to be very quick because it only takes a second or two then she's gone.

I believe it is a '36 Plymouth Coupe in Bogart's "HIGH SIERRA", but those are the only two '35s I've seen.
