How to attach '36 fender skirts (?)

Thanks for looking! Dead-end here so far. Would not like  to weld, as I'd have to patch the original paint.

originally i believe it was clips that u just clip on, i was thinking about this to a while back ago? im not definettyl sure tho so? ?i will ask around for ya

Found a pair of nice skirts for my '36 P2 that fit well and will add a lot to its appearance. The underside of the fenders are clear of any hangers. Does anybody have info about how skirts were originally hung? My guess is that brackets were welded on for that option.  Or maybe some kind of clips were used. (?)
