Thanks guys. Are there any other suggestion for a replacement "spare tire wheel well" ? I am sure that I am not the only one who has a rotten out wheel well.

The wheel well from just about any car would work if the well is for a 16" tire... Since most cars went to 15' tires in "48-49 you might want to stay with the '40-48 cars. A trailer fender for a single axle trailer would work well if you only need to replace the bottom of the well.... Here again you would need a fender for a larger tire in lieu of a small 13" tire....Bill

Working on my 41 P12 four door. The spare tire wheel well is shot. What have you guys done to replace it. I was toying with the idea of getting a wheel well from a later model cut it out and welding that in its place. But I don't know what make or model would best fit it. Any ideas???
