I updated the forum software today. SMF is updated pretty rarely these days but supposedly the next version is still under way; it's good to see a maintenance-and-security update!

There was a great turnout of Plymouths and other classic Mopars at the Chrysler 100 event this year. It was great to meet a couple of POC people I've only corresponded with before. I have a few pics and a brief writeup on my web site.

I think current Stellantis news shows that they really needed to keep Plymouth!

Anyway, mainly posted to say the forum software's been updated, so let me know if anything is wonky. If everything works fine for a few days, I'll update our version of php, the underlying software that runs the site, to add a little performance.

Hi all, Please delete if not allowed.  I am working on a 1954 Plymouth with the 218 ci flathead.  The head on it is cracked pretty significantly and I am looking for a new head for it that is uncracked.  The part # from the head is #1405849-5. I am not necessarily looking for the exact part number even though it would be nice to have.  Moreso just looking for a good head.

I just did my frost plug above the oil dipstick. I cleaned out the gunk, which wasn't too bad for a 1951 engine. However, what I did not realise is that in flushing the block out 8 liters of water went down the dipstick hole. Needless to say I had contaminated oil and after flushing 10 liters of oil through it I am now ok.
Lesson: Check your oil level before and after doing this operation.
