I vote you place and emblem on it that says "Plymouth" only. That would match your car as a 29. More along the lines of your engine and hub caps. Now if everyone will please vote on this.

I didn't take the picture and I believe it was probably November 25 not December.

ANYWAY..., So what emblem should I reinstall on my 1929 Plymouth.? The one that originally came with the car and is for a 28 Model Q or the new emblem I purchased which is for a 30 U.? Maybe I should keep looking until I can actually find one from a 1929 Model U even though I am not entirely sure what it looks like.

That 2nd medallion you show is off a '30U. It also is correct in the base copper. (Did you really take that photo Xmas morning at 8:00?)

My 28 Q coupe is Copper color with the blue. Everyone says to have it chrome plated. But it is correct for the 28 only.

Hi Chet, the correct 28 Plymouth Radiator Emblem say Chrysler Plymouth . Picture as you show it.

The reason I am asking this questions is because the car I have is titled as a 1928 Plymouth but I believe it to be a 1929.? The 28 Emblem came with the car but so did a Model U motor and 1929 hubcaps.? The serial number though badly worn appears to be an early build 29.? The motor is also an early serial number in the build sequence.? I believe the car was manufactured early in the first quarter of 1929.? I am wondering if it could have escaped the factory with the Model Q emblem or was this emblem added at some point in its 78 year history.?

I currently purchased an emblem which the seller claims was the unique 1929 emblem but I have my doubts about this emblem.? It appears to be more mordern.., say mid 30's.? I would like to get the car as near original as possible.? See recently purchased emblem below.

Any help would be appreciated.

You are correct. That one is for a 28 Q. The 28 has both words Chrysler and Plymouth. The 29 only says Plymouth.

That is the correct shell medallion for a '28Q. For some reason I've never been able to figure out everyone thinks the copper area should be nickeled or chromed. It shoud not. If it were the face of the medal would dissapppear visually into the chrome of the rad shell. Just polish it up until the copper shines and put it back on.

The picture below this text is what I believe to be a 1928 Plymouth Radiator emblem.

The 1929 was suppose have an emblem that contained only the words Plymouth.? Is the picture attached a representation of what a 1929 Plymouth Radiator emblem should look like.
