Savoy air vent ?

thanks there Savoy 54....I have been working on a few things but have been thinking of installing Vintage Air in the Savoy....but I don't want to be the one to change this beautiful old lady of mine. I feel that she has lived all these years with out A/C she might be OK without it.
I would however like to start directing some of the fresh air to the front seats and not just the floorboard.
I might just get me some card board and start fabricating a tube behind the dash. Will let you guys know how it works out.

No, that was they way they were designed.  I have a '54 Savoy and never felt it to be an issue.  Is your vent opening fully?  If not, that could be your problem.  If you were ambitious, you could probably fashion a set of ducts out of heavy cardboard like that used to mount door panels.

The only ducting in the car is the cardboard manifold mounted to the firewall from the blower in the engine compartment that feeds heat or fresh air to passenger and driver.

Hi all I have been working on my 54 Savoy this past month switching speedometer and other gages etc.  Doing this I noticed that  the Air vent housing blows the outside air to the back of the instrument panel. This does not allow much air to hit the front seat area. Was there at one time a tube or something that directed the air to the driver/passenger? And if so where does one get one of thiose things?
