Correct Battery for 1941 P12

I agree about the battery if it was under the floor board. Unfortunately, besides the air cleaner it is about the most prominent accessory under the hood. I am not even sure if the reprouction battery has the correct MoPar logo for the 40's, but I guess anything would be more authentic than a modern looking battery.

The last year that Plymouth had the battery under the seat on the driver's side was 1940.

The battery on a p-12 is near the radiator, under the left front fender.

Isn't the battery of a 41 hidden away in an enclosed box under the floor??  Wouldn't it be invisible to all but someone servicing it?

I realize authetic is as authentic does, but isn't this a little like the difference between fruit of the loom and Haines????  And in this case wouldn't either be correct???

Does anyone know for sure the battery that came from the factory in a 1941 Detroit Built P12? The options appear to be a Group 1 either Willard logo or Mopar logo. The second variable was with either white or red caps on the top.

Both are available as reproduction, but it is unclear what year the switch was made from the Willard logo battery to the Mopar logo battery.

Speculation won't really help in this case. I hope someone knows the definite answer.

The illustration in the parts book shows a MoPar logo, but the book covers several years and I am not sure what year the change was made.
