I don't actually get here very often.  I depend on others to tell me if something is amiss and let it run - if it is not broke, don't fix it.  I get tied up with a lot of other computer stuff and just don't find time to check.  Maybe if I retire in the next twelve months I will find more time.

Very nice to hear from Your aktivities this summer.
Our?s was miserable: highest temperatures in July, too cold in August and June and most rain since 30 years in August.
But anyhow, with jacket and cap we still can drive with top down.

Weekends were better than the balance of the weeks, so as I?m working on the car outside, I was able to fit the remaining
spare parts from Neil Riddle and David Pollock to complete the car?s repairs.

I definitely have noted a loss of traffic. I have not checked in in over two weeks (been camping)  and there are only two new postings. Is this a reflection of the POC? It seems a lot of the posters are also on the P15/D24 forum and I believe most are not even POC members. I hope this forum is not indicative of the health of the POC.

Like Todd, I'm here on a regular basis. Hopefully the reason there is little talk on this site is everyone is taking advantage of the nice weather and are out driving their cars. I know I have.

Go really enjoys motoring around Germany in his Plymouth. I think most of us enjoy viewing the pictures he attaches to the forum.

I have noted a very large reduction in the amount of comments that are being made on most of the car forums and sites like Classmates, etc.. It is still summertime and people are busy doing outdoor activities, or is it a side effect of the soft economy?  I know that several of my friends have cut back on their old car activities during the past year or so because they have felt the effects of the soft economy hitting the disposable portion of their income.

I have always been very careful with the funding of my old car hobbies. I have been buying and selling cars and parts my whole adult life to fund my hobbies, that way I did not take money out of the household account.

In all probability when the weather turns towards the cold side, and the people in the colder areas put their cars away for the season, we will then see more traffic here on the PB....Bill

I check in here at least every morning and evening..the traffic is light...shame in a manner of speaking..am not sure if it is due to the fact all the owner's cars are up and running and thus nothing to write about or just what.

My current project is not of POC guidelines as I am upgrading a variety of items..trust me not all cars are worth going back to factory..I will wager that 95% of the folks would never have started this project based on the rusted out shell I got....but if its any consulation, I have been spraying a bit of primer and finished the body shell last night on my 51 Suburban.  Now I need to get out my pristine set of South Dakota doors and get them bolted on.

The forum lost all of its contributors, I fear? no post the last 2 weeks here?

Yesterday, surprisingly sunny weather  forced plan changes and  the Plymouth out.

We made a 40 mls round trip to Schlo? Dyck, a 1650 rebuilt castle. This place was Family owned until 1999 for 900 Years! Now it is semi statal. As buildings are in desperate need of heavy repairs, we couldn?t go into near the buildings for a picture.

This castle is surrounded by beautiful parks and gardens.

Next stop was 7 mls southward: the biggest hole in Europe, 40 square mls big and 525 ft deep. ( there are much bigger in CDN and USA on the Burlington Northern - and in China.)

My fotos show the hole with some of the excavator machines, the conveyor belt system  and 2 of the power plants. Sun was on the wrong side- so no price winning results!

Met a 57 Buick  Roadmaster at J?chen,
on J?chen?s  market place we found nicer houses (Market Place on Google Earth : search 51 06 00.23N and 6-30-10.71E )
