1932 PB Plymouth Missing title

If the car you have has all of the proper ID number plates, e.g, serial number plate on right front door post, body number tag on fire wall and the engine number stamped on the left front corner of the block starting with PB1001.... then you many be able to contact the POC for documentation that the vehicles numbers are consistent for a '32PB. Then secure a copy of the Standard Catalog of American Cars, second addition.. On page 1159 you will find the data pertaining to your car.

Armed with the before mentioned info, and tracings/photo's of the ID number plates, apply to your local DMV for new ownership papers based on the fact that you "lost" the title you had. I would suggest that you avoid the various title services that advertise in many of the national publications... You will most likely spend money for something that your state will not honor.

As a general rule, state agency's like lots of documentation. By nature government employee's like to make things difficult, so you have to beat them at their own game......Bill

I lost the title to a 1932 PB Plymouth Sedan that I bought for parts about 6 years ago.  Now I have someone who wants to buy it. The guy is a metal sculptor and sheet metal expert.He wants to restore it and drive it everyday. I need to get a title in PA. PennDOT tells me I need to find the last owner, which I think was in Texas. . I called TExas and they have no record of it. They have no records that far back. Any suggestions???
