are 55 & 56 plymouth &l Dodge instruments the same color and interchangeable?

According to the parts book I have these numbers are 55 Only? as the 56 has a different number.? I'm going to try and linvestigate further because I feel the two years are interchangable but physical size of amount of voltage could be the difference.

I have NOS plymouth 1622 132  temp and 1622 135 gas gagues.  Written in pencil says 1955. Are they the same size and color on 56 plymouth and 55?   Are they the same as, and interchangeable with 55 & 56 Dodge?
