I'll be there. Orange field OBG 32-35 I'll have some NOS sheet metal, some good used sheet metal (40's & 50's some 60's) Window channel, other odds & ends.

Carmen, no doubt about it, it?s awesome. But if my son didn?t live out there, I couldn?t justify going just for the swap meet by the time you factor in the gas and expenses to travel 1100 miles, the hotel, etc. I really didn?t find anything I couldn?t find at local swap meets here in my area. But I still think everyone should experience it at least once. Lee

I haven't been to the AACA Hershey meet since I left the East Coast in 1978. Back around 1973 or so, at my first Hershey event, the POC (the "Plymouth 4 & 6 Cylinder Club" at the time) actually ran the fall national show on the same field as the AACA but a day later. Pretty sure that had stopped by the time I left the area in 78.

I had heard at one time that somewhere on the grounds the POC (or maybe it was some of the founders) had a booth. I never saw it. And no, I didn?t expect to find one place with a treasure trove of Plymouth parts.

When Linda and I were there in 2006 (first time), I printed out all the maps (fields) from the AACA WEB site and carried them with me. I walked about 6000 of the 9000 spaces on Thursday and Friday. I had planned to do the last 2500+ (big portion of the Chocolate field) on Saturday. But it was raining when we got up that morning, and I had a terrible head cold and was sick, so we went back to my sons in Johnstown.

You are right about time/expense. My wife said I would have been money ahead just to buy on eBay. But since my son is stationed in Johnstown, it gave me a reason to travel out there to attend the mother of all swap meets.

Sorry I may have confused a newbie.

Hershey is an experience, you can walk for three days and not see more than a couple things you need, or you can stumble on lots of stuff the first day, with mopars most likely the first scenario. Going is worth the trip even if you suffer and "O for..."

If I was looking for front end stuff, I'd be calling Kantor or other reputable vendors. By the time you factor in your time and travel expenses, even if you get a great deal on prices, you won't be that much further ahead. Especially if you open the box of cherished NOS part and find the rubber dry rotted, or find the wrong part in the right box.

And no the MOPAR vendors are not grouped together, funny how the ford and chevy guys seem t be though....................

Seriously, unless they have created some extraordinary re-organization this year I can't imagine how they would begin to group "Mopar" vendors together unless they all registered at the same time. But miracles do happen! If you have never been to Hershey, it is impossible to fully describe and appreciate the magnitude of the event. First timers, on a serious hunt for parts or cars, WILL be overwhelmed. To me, the best suggestion for serious, organized, parts hunting is to purchase as soon as you get there one of the event Programs. These books are "half-page" sized (5 1/2 X 8 inches) and roughly 30 or so pages, price has been 3 or 5 bucks. But well worth it. It has vendor listings with all field maps and locations to organize and chart your search. Good luck!

I this will be the first time that I be going to Hershey. I have a 1941 P12 and will be looking for parts to rebuilt my front end: shock, tie rods, etc. Will those vendors be where the Plymouths are or are they all ove the place. Also will all the Plymouths be in one spot? If so where is that spot.

Anybody going to be at Hershey this year? I?m planning on attending again this year (I was there 2 years ago for the first time). I?ve heard the Plymouth Club has a booth, but I never saw it. Also, is there any certain areas where you can find a concentration of Plymouth parts? Or do I just have to cover as much ground as possible to find those Mopar treasures? Thanks, Lee
