Why don't someone move the photos to Photobucket.com then you could see an adjustable automatic slide show of the Woodie anytime you wanted to. That is almost a permanent situation. Anyone can join and move photos there FREE. You can also put a link to it anywhere, email ,website, this site, whereever !!!!
And you guys selling something on ebay don't forget to use it--you can have an automatic slide show of 100+ FULL SCREEN photos of the car you are selling for FREE{not paying photobucket or ebay anything.
Sorry guys, I have been using that for my granddaughters photos from birth, ebay car sales, dog photos, etc and it bothers me that not many people seem not to know about it--yes, it is better than the yahoo one.
So if you want the photos 'steal' the photos from the site and upload them to photobucket, then put the link here in anyone's post !!!!

Brian,

I hope you will leave the woodie on your website for a while.? It is an inspiration to anyone who might think their woodie is too far gone to mess with.? Your documentation of the restoration is outstanding.? I visited it last night again for the umpteenth time.

Brian,

Sorry to hear that you sold your woodie.  I did enjoy looking at your web site of
Beach City Gas and all the woodies and other cool cars that seemed to gather there.
Also, enjoyed reading and seeing the photos of the restoration of your beautiful '49.

Best of luck in your new business.

Brian,

Hope Ken gets in touch with me so I can add him to my registry.  I sure hate the thought of taking those beautiful woodie photos off my site.  It has been a pleasure keeping up with your progress these past few years.

Hi Brian - sorry to hear you're leaving us but I can understand why.  Thanks for all the memories of Santa Cruz and especially proving to me that I'm not crazy when I remembered a ship made of concrete!!!!  Hopefully the woodie will stay in the club -- and hopefully you do, too.  And thanks for the kind words......Jim B.

Brian,
Silly question, is he driving the car to New York?
I live in the Catskills of New York, it is snowing here right now.
looks as if he got one heck of a nice wagon.
I too have followed your progress over the past five years, not only on the POC site, but in some of the monthly magazines such as "Cars and Parts"
Good luck,
Bob

Well, I put an ad in Hemmings online last week and a new Woodie enthusiast flew out from New York and bought my car  on Saturday.  His name is Ken.  If you hear form him,  welcome him warmly.  He is carrying on the story of Arbor Vitae.

You have all been so kind to me over the five plus years I have owned this car.  The restoration process was all the more rewarding on account of the support and information you all shared with me.  I am short of words to express the extent of my gratitude.  And I give special thanks to  Jim Benjaminson for always being accessable and willing to share his wisdom,  to Lanny Knutson for editing and publishing a couple of my stories and lots of my pictures, to Tod Fitch for being my local connection to the world-wide Plymouth family, and to Neil Riddle for nearly always having the parts I needed.

Arbor Vitae finally had to go.  Three hobby cars was too much (two Austin Healeys and the Woodie) given the commitments I have elsewhere, especially regarding the future of Beach City Gas Station on Ocean Street in Santa Cruz.  The details of which are this:  we are demolishing the entire facility next month, completing the environmental work, and building an entire new business thre.  It will be different.  I think the name explains it all:  Fins Espresso Cafe.

The name was chosen because Fins are cool--surf board fins,  shark fins,  and car fins....Maybe even Plymouth Fins!  So maybe I will be back.  Next year after the construction is completed I'll be looking for another car for business purposes.  And you guessed it, I has to have fins!  Sooooo.....if you know of someone selling a nice '58 Golden Commando or or one or another of its cousins, please let me know.

Thanks again.  And until we meet again....

Kindest regards,
