Hello, all,

I've just about got the engine of our '34 out of the chassis, and, once I got the radiator out, I lost no  time in removing the art deco mascot or ornament from the radiator shell.

Believe this or don't, one of those ornaments, in the same good condition ours is in, just sold for $504 on ebay.....I have to admit that I was surprised, to put it mildly.......I mean, thats a cute bit of decoration, alright,  but.....$500 worth ? ? ?

Anyway, ours is now carefully put away, where it won't be exposed to any creepy little vandals when we park the car. It would be so very easy to break that delicate die casting with just the least bit of a 'whack' with one's hand, that its easy to see why a vandal couldn't resist the temptation.

The problem is, now I've got to put something in the holes where it was mounted......I suppose I could make up some stainless button-head bolts or something belike, to fill the open holes......but, please, does anyone have a broken '34 ornament that they could sell us cheaply, that I could simply file/polish down to some reasonable 'blank flange' shape, have plated, and put on the shell?

cheers
