Before I lowered the front end I had P205/75SR-15 Uniroyal all the way around.? They came with the car when I bought it.? I think these are Chevy generic wheels.

When we lowered the front, we had to "roll" or "lip" the front fender wells.? Thats is, I had the tires straight, and inserted a baseball bat in between the tire and fender.? Then gently rolled the car backward while turning the bat so it would gradually flare out the fender.? That worked pretty well, but to be safe I bought some P205/65SR-15s.? It has rubbed twice on very tight U turn.? But nothing major, was at no speed hardly.

Will post before and after pics

Looking good!

What size tires and wheels are on the car?  Do they rub on tight turns?

I was able to figure something out OK.  I am going to take it off again to redo a bit.  Being a contractor, I scoured thought my plumb box, and came up with a sink drain washer to hold it in place.

Thanks for all the info, here are a couple of pics with it on, along with the new hood ornament and nameplate.

UPDATE:? I remembered I have an old ornament in the garage and took a look at it.? The retainers push onto the threaded towers that the mounting bolts screw into. Should be easy to fabricate something that works.

Thanks, was waiting for the Captain to show up.... ;D.  I was pretty sure something was missing.  I will make something up like you said.

That's the correct medallion for a '52.? There are little 'bracket thingies' that hold the plastic center to the metal body of the ornament. If I recall correctly, they are held in by two small Phillips-head screws that screw into the metal body of the ornament. I'm a little hazy on this one because I haven't looked at the back of an ornament in quite a while. You could probably make something to do the job.

Wish my medallion looked that good.....

I have what I am pretty sure are the correct hood emblem and medallion for my 52 Cranbrook?

I have two parts, just the emblem and medallion.  Fitting them together leaves room behind the medallion if I mount it on the hood.  There must be another part I need?  My manual does not cover such details.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, John
