It's the P18 model with the blower in front of the radiator, I've got it figured out but it's the bits and pieces that are confusing, like the attachment points along the right inner fender and the connections between the 3 major pieces of hardware. The knockouts are easily identified as well as the coolant in and out of the core.  When I look at he schematics in the catalogs and the drawings, well suffice to say I'm not able to see everything.  I think I'm going to wing it and drill neat holes inside if the cowlings and sheet metal screw everything down nice and snug.  Adrill, screwdriver and some tin snips should make it all happen.  After all I'm moving heated air not a liquid like coolant, gas, or brake fluid.

Is this a 1st series 49 (P15) or a later 49 (P18)?? Is ti a fresh air heater with a duct to the front of the radiator support, or a all in one for mounting int he passenger foot well.?

Maybe this will help shows components of the model 100 and 300 fresh air ducted heaters, there is also a 500 model, with more bells and whistles, but installation is typical.

The simpler model 36 is a through the firewall bolt on self contained core and blower that simply is mounted to the firewall by the inlet out let hardware and is wired to a switch, airflow is adjusted by fan speed and opening an closing of louvers on the heater case.

I bought the above wagon In California about 2 months back.  Being a California car it hs no heater(?).  I think I have the requisite parts but befor installation I've gone through a bit of guesswork on "how to".  I Understand that PLymouth used to ship instruction on "how to install" these heaters.  Is there any detailed info on this procedure and the proper placement of the parts?
