Confirmed repairs are always of a questionable reliability.  If we want to go with this idea, here is a website that has made a Valiant attempt to offer this service.   Click on www.slantsix.org.  Click on Articles.

Yes it's a good idea because people are asking the same questions over and over. If we had a file where known defects in different devices could be accumulated it would save a lot of repetative questions and answers. An owner could look up his year and device "generator, distributor, water pump, etc." and see if the fix was already on file. Are you listening Mark?

I too think this is a good idea, but also know that it will most likely not reduce the number of redundant requests for technical information.

From my experience as a Technical Manager who managed a Technical Support organization for a large international service company.., the more written information you make available the less people use it.? ?Most technicians are hands on people and learn from doing and seeing.? ?When working on a problem the view is always for the quick fix.? Hence the Tech Support Center.? The forum is a type of Tech Support Center and I think a good place to chew the technical fat.

I have no problem with redundant questions because I am constantly learning everyday and it is usually things I use to know but have forgotten because of lack of use.

Just my two cents?? Chet?

PS if a Tech Information Board is created I think it should be separated by Plymouth Type, P15, P20 etc or by Years.? 30?s, 40?s 50?s etc.

It's a very good idea. I'm sure many of us would contribute, and many would benefit.

I have a suggestion:

In the automotive  repair business, and not too long ago they have started  a service that is labeled  " confirmed known  repairs"
If we could have a section that list by years and components  ie: electrical  fuel etc. and put in so to say the tricks of the trade  and known repairs I think it would benefit us and the future of these great cars, not to mention making decisions about responsible repairs. Just a thought.........
