Hi Dennis,

I tried to reply to your direct message but got a notification that your inbox was full. You can send the photo to the webmaster link that is found on the top of every page of my website at https://www.ply33.com/

Regarding the gas pedal. At the bottom/hinge area there should be two ball studs on the floor board. The pedal snaps into those just like it snaps into the ball at the end of the accelerator rod. If I recall correctly there were two different length gas pedals over the years so you will want to measure yours to see what the distance is between the upper and lower ball socket locations are. That said, the replacement pedal in my car came with two different accelerator rod ball sockets so it could be used for either application. You should be able to get a new pedal from the usual old Mopar suppliers like Michells, Roberts, or Bernbaum.

Your throttle linkage sounds a bit different than the one on my car and the ones I have looked at closely. Is there a groove for a "C" clip? Or maybe push on spring clip? I think I'd be looking through the specialty clips and fastener drawers in my local hardware store. . . Perhaps I have it visualized incorrectly, can you post a photo?

I have a 9 P-8
On the back side of the gas pedal there is a socket indentation
for a ball on the end of the accelerator rod.
My simply broke/came apart-
(Hard Plastic)
Also-Throttle linkage-
There is a clip that holds the rod at the end-
It goes onto the rod then has 2 openings for both sides of the rod-
It keeps coming off- So the car will not
accelerate. I guess I could drill a hole through the rod
and put a cotter pin?
Thoughts?
