My thinking it's a PG didn't the PE/PF have the windshield regulator where this one has the swing out arms, the same as the PD.

Tod is spot on in his reply. I can not add anything else.

It is a 1934 PF or PG. The skirt on the rear of the front fenders says it is a 1934 and the hood lacks the doors found on the PE.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to tell the difference between a PF and a PG from this camera angle. The biggest difference I know of is that the PF had independent front suspension while the PG had a beam axle.

I'd appreciate any help verifying or correcting what I believe this car to be.

I think it is a a 1934 Plymouth Six Coupe (factory code PF) or Standard Six Coupe (code PG).  I'm not sure if there is any way to verify this based on the picture.  The picture is literally the only verfiable information I have on the car.  (It's a picture of a picture, so not the sharpest.) Hopefully there are enough details for a positive ID. I believe the picture is from the WWII time frame, and I think that this may have been the first car he ever owned. You can see his pride in it in the picture. I pretty sure my Grandfather had this car for a long time. I have a very vague recollection of a similar one from when I was a kid in the 70s, but I don't know if that was the same car or not. I would really love to own a similar car some day, but that's probably a pipe dream.
