Here are 3 not so good pictures of my top molding. 1 long center piece and 2 end pieces. Very hard to work with but it is the closest to the original lead bead molding that was used. Somewhere I have a piece of the original, but can not find it at this time. Call me if you want to know more about how you work with it using heat to make the nails stay in. Email me first for my number.

Does the POC have a recommendation for roof material?  Is it the same as a model A ?

Chet, the original was brass u channel filled with lead. Easy to bend with heat.  I used it 20 years ago on my coupe. I think it is still available at an Amish buggy shop I know of.  You heat the lead and put a nail in the desired location close to where the hole is drilled in your steel. It takes a while to do this . I put a nail in about every 6 inches. When you take the heat away while holding the nail it sets up fast. Then the nail sticks straight up. cut to length. Now when you start to put the trim on, you have to work one nail at a time to get it in the hole selected in your steel top. Use a rubber hammer and start at one side and work across. You might want to use a block of wood to help work it down. Have some help, I will get a picture or two of mine and the name of the the shop who has it.  I do notice that no one uses it anymore and they just use hide em welt.  Not original.

Anyone have a picture of what the rear roof trim looks like or how it was handled on your 28,29,or 1930 sedan restoration ?

I am aware that the side trim was a rain channel.

Tks,  Chet...
