Distributor Removal

Thanks, Yes i did get out by turning the crankshaft.

I haven't checked this forum in some time, so I didn't see your post until now. Were you able to get the distributor out? I can tell you what happened with mine. I learned why it is necessary to remove the distributor with the crank in position with the #1 piston at top dead center. At other positions, the crank interferes with removal of the distributor.

is all I have. No experience with Your extraction problem, even though having been a dentist :)).
Maybe You find more help on faxe book, but I don?t and can?t use it.

I can"t remove the distributor from my 54 ply engine.It moves a inch or so then jams. I think the pin in the shaft has moved. Has any one run into this problem. What can be done.
