This is a message I got today - can anyone help him?


"I have been inquiring around and was given your e-mail address.  I am trying to identify what I have.  Years ago I had a Plymouth and as a kid I acquired parts for the car so I could repair or modify it.  I am now 70 and that was over 50 years ago. 

I have a manual overdrive transmission and a radiator.  I think the transmission was from a 1953 Plymouth Cairnbrook. 

Where would I look to find an identification number and who could identify it?  The radiator is also from a Plymouth.  I think it was from a 1941.  It's in nice condition and has a number stamped in the metal.  The number is 897449.  It's a shame to send these items to a scrap yard because somebody could probably use them.  I am not a dealer, just a person cleaning out his garage before his daughter does."
