RC Drown

I went up to Cooperstown Thursday, saw the Ear, Nose and Throat Dr that oversaw my treatments by the Chemo and Radiation Drs.  He was very pleased with my progress.  He even allowed my to have my stomach tube removed Friday morning, but made me feel so good.  Don't go back now until the end of February.

Well here it is Nov 12, we drove up to Cooperstown this morning so I could have a c-scan of my neck, the results were no tumor visiable.  Both my Dr's were very pleased, as needless to say were my wife and I.  He said that my mouth looks good and is coming along as expected.  Still sore, but nothing like it was when we came home the the end of Sept, forepart of Oct.  He also lowered my food supplement to four cans a day instead of six, but he told me I have to eat more by mouth and not to lose any weight.  I see one Dr in January and my other two Dr's the end of Febuary.

I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers,
Bob, Patty and Cooper Drown

Great News Bob !!!

Rain runs into the doors, above all. As protected against rust, this is no real problem for the doors.
But leaving the doors, water will make lakes under the floor mats. Have a lot of newspaper under there.
I carry several plastic foilsplus rubber straps with me to cover the car partially,
so at least, water can?t get into the doores and windows and roof and trunk and hood.

I don?t have to mess around with a wet car cover, I just throw the foil away.

Doesn?t help when caught while driving....

Friday we drove back up to Cooperstown to see my radiologist, he told me that in the four weeks since the radiation as been completed my mouth is doing fine.  He wants me back on Nov 12 to see him, my chemo dr and another dr, plus have a st scan of my neck to see how the chemo and radiaton has does its job, also the results of the ct scan will decide if I need surgery or not on my throat, which my dr tends to think not and of which I surely hope not :)

Rain tomorrow, but by Wednesday and the end of the week, temp suppose to be in the middle 50's to middle '60's, so hopefully Cooper and I can get the Plymouth out for a cruise.

Thanks again everyone, you are the best,
Bob

Just want to again thank everyone.  Cooper and I had the Plymouth out today for a short drive.  Must admit it sure was nice to do so, even in the rain

Hay Bob,

Glad to see you back at it.  You are truly a renaissance man.  Bob, I have yet to wrap my head around the concept of driving in the rain.  I guess it?s just baby steps.  I can understand getting caught in the rain but intentionally striking out on a cruise in the rain.  Well.., I am just not there yet.  I know, I know, someday I will just have to let go.   When I brought the car back to Virginia for the air show she sat out in the rain for 3 days.  I don?t have a garage in VA and couldn?t wait to drive her back to her garage in Delaware.  The car cover didn?t do that great of a job with the driving rain we had, but it was better than nothing.   Glad you were out and about.  That makes the world a normal place again.

Pat,

I read a post on the P15D24 forum.  I believe he is OK just out of touch at present.  below is the post.

Mark (My48Ruby) wrote on 9/10

I spoke to Bob's wife Patty tonight. Bob's doing well, but not speaking much due to the radiation and chemo. This last round really knocked him on his butt and unfortunately Bob also had another heart attack last week which they've since treated. He is looking forward to the recuperation now that all of the treatments are behind him, and 218 in his chest is freshly serviced. Patty tells me that Bob is in good spirits and is fighting a spirited battle. I would expect nothing less from him.
