Hi Gaby51, I have a DVD called Detroit Iron that has everything in it needed to repair the '41, similar to a
Chiltons or Motors manual. Just couldn't put my hands on it cause I've been involved in moving. Glenn had helped with the pages from Motors, I printed them and will look at the car this weekend. Thanks for the offer but a book that old and helpful should stay in your possesion.

I have an old Motor's  Manual too, Tenth Edition, 1948.  I bought it years ago when I was in high school and had a 1936 Chevrolet to tinker on and drive.  I no longer need this manual, and I'd be glad to send it to you if you can use it.  Since I now have a '54 Plymouth, this manual no longer does me any good, so I rather give it to someone who can use it than throw it out.

Brian, I have an old MOTORs manual that show pictures and adjustment for the (they call it "Power Shifter") Valve action and Neutral position adjuster. The book says 1941 & 1942. If you need or want this I will Scan in those pages and e-mail the same to you. Let me know. The OD Unit sound good to me. lol This book covers from 1935 thru 1947.

The one on my '41 was disconnected and it shifted regularly just fine. I have since installed an overdrive transmission and am very happy with it.

does any one have experience with the vacuum assist pot that aids shifting in the '41 model years? I understand it was a 1 year item and mine was submerged in hurricaine Irene and I've freed it up once but now is frozen again. I was wondering if I can just remove it from the transmission and have it shift normally. I also have an overdrive transmission that I never installed and I am thinking about replacing mine with the OD unit. It appears to be a direct replacement size wise and freshening the engine might be an option at the same time. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
