Greg, Just rewatched your video, I have traveled that road from Downsville to Walton more times than I care to remember over the past 40 years, but never in such grand style as your coupe

Mark, you have my apologies, I was thinking it was you.

I stand corrected, now I will correct that

No apologies needed Bob - I'm primarily an information gathering lurker over here, I participate much more on the p15-d24 board.

Hey Roger haven't seen or heard from you since we met up athe Rhinebeck spring show about 8 or 9 years ago.  See you are still stewarding Gus.  Nice that you popped up again.  Still doing Klez???

RC Drown

Roger, it would be great seeing you and "Gus" again, we'll have to work something out over the winter for the spring months.

Last March I met Rich W in Kerkonkson with his '49 Plymouth at the Rainbow Diner for coffee, so maybe the three of us could do so again next March.  Food for thought

Glenn,

My car is 6vdc positive ground but I put in a converter hooked up to the cigarette lighter to produce 12 vdc negative ground.  Great for cell phone charger or GPS.  Also have a conventional radio in the glove box.

Chet...

I took a little different route for charging/running my smartphone/GPS: http://www.ply33.com/Repair/cellphone

Chet,

I had thought about bringing Cooper, but I didn't want to leave him in the car while we were having breakfast, believe me, I caught the devil from him when I got home :)

Here is a video of a portion of my trip (128 miles) home.  Nice day so i thought I would make a video.  the scenery and the topography were interesting.  I pulled into a turn off, and while I was setting up the camera on its little grippy tri pod, a toyota pickup flashed by.

So I made my mission to try to catch the truck before the top of the grade.  the road raises about 800 feet over the course of just over three miles.  Did Kate make the grade??? You decide.

Vid is just over 4 minutes long

Didn't have my GPS with me, but I run it off a recharbale jumper pack.

Always nice to see You trips and countryside!
Do Your county still suffer from the horrible thunderstorms a couple of weeks ago?
There was even a collapsed bridge and I hoped it was not yours!

Greetings! Go (now changing king pins plus rear brakes)

There was a covered bridge in Vermont that was destroyed.  I saw that on the news after Irene.  We have a covered bridge in Claryville, about five miles from here, that the footings were damaged.  They are in the process of repairing it.

Snow is mentioned for tonight and tomorrow, not good.  The old Plymouth is in the garage all nice and snug

I had thought about contacting you, but decided against it as it was on a Sunday and the trip would have taken all day.  My mistake as I should have contacted you, you and the '41 would have been welcomed and not to worry, she would have made the trip with no problems

I certainly admire the fact that you were so willing to drive your Plymouths such long distances especially in late October! I really enjoyed the photos and perhaps some day I might be so blessed that I could join you. :-\

Hay Bob,

How about the Cairo Dinner in Cairo NY ???  Is it still there ?  Maybe that will be our next meeting spot.

I remember marble counters worn down by years of hungry backpackers.

PS... Thanks for the picture and the time together.
