:)  Thanks to all I found the hole and you are correct it is dasier to run it up from the bottom.  Now I am missing 2 pieces on the one piece type.  The contact spring, insulator, and screw.  May I will find them or can buy them if someone wants to sell them.

When rewiring my 40 Ply, I ran a piece of bailing wire thru the column ( steering wheel side ) and it found the hole in the bottom side by itself. I then attached the horn button wire to the wire and pulled it through.

What year and model?

On my 1933 PD the hole is pretty easy to find. As I recall it is easier to feed the wire up from the bottom than down from the top. But then again, it has been years since I rewired my car and my memory is not what it once was.

 >:(  OK I give up, the manual says to run the wire down the center of the steering tube.  I do that but I have not been able to find a hole to get the wire out of the bottom of the tube.  Help please I am at a loss.
