Parts and Paper / Re: 1939 Plymouth parts book
Last post by wintbg - February 03, 2026, 09:20:04 PM
Greetings William, In the parts book the window wings used on Chrysler Corporation convertibles are called "side wing stanchions". Also needed are the pivot brackets that hold the glass and clamping blocks to hold the pivots. The lower pivot bracket is slightly longer than the upper bracket. The same stanchions, pivot brackets and clamping blocks were used in 1937,38 and 39. The 1940 and 41 models used the same pivot brackets and blocks, but the stanchions have a slightly longer tail where they attach to the door. I hope this helps.

764184 right side stanchion (1)
764185 left side stanchion (1)
764180 upper pivot bracket (2)
764181 lower pivot bracket (2)
764186 upper clamping block (2)
764187 lower clamping block (2)

I am looking for exterior stainless moulding, specifically the long strips that run along the sides, front to back.  Any for-sale or suggestions for sources would be greatly appreciated.
