It sounds like you are sorting things out. That can be frustrating but can also be fun. I think you will have a good running car with what you are doing.

The Edmonds repro pictured on my motor does restrict the airflow.?

I guess it works OK with a dual carb setup but with a single carb it doesn?t allow the engine to breath correctly.? At low idle the engine runs rough and backfires like a sticking valve.? Once removed I can set the idle very low with no roughness and no backfiring.? I originally acquired two of these to use on a dual carb setup on a D24-230.? I am currently using the stromeburg carb with the auto chock on my P15 until I get the Carter Rebuilt.? The oil breathed doesn?t fit the present carburetor so for the time being the Edmonds Repro keeps the dust out.
