I'd have to dig through the minutia of the parts book to get the serial numbers, but as I recall it the original PC had its wheel base extended almost immediately to allow the possibility of side mount spare tires. I believe that the modification was in where the front axle attached to the springs.

The big thing was the introduction of the PD. This was basically Plymouth sheet metal and trim on a longer Dodge chassis. At that time they also changed the front sheet metal on the PC creating the PCXX. Looking through the parts book PC and PCXX are distinguished only by serial numbers and almost all mehanical parts are identical between the two.

From the sales literature point of view the PC was the Plymouth Six or sometimes "the new" Plymouth Six. The PD was the DeLuxe Plymouth and the PCXX was the Standard Plymouth.

In any case, from the parts book the differences are all in the front sheet metal and some things that directly attach to the front sheet metal and in the interior finishing details. So PD running boards, front fenders, hood, radiator shell, etc. will not fit on a PC or PCXX.

I don't have a Dodge parts book to verify it, but I understand that the body stampings are the same between the Dodge 6 and the Plymouth for 1933. So I think there is a good chance a door and window hardware from a 6 cylinder Dodge would fit on the same body type Plymouth.

As to exterior door handles, 1933 and 1934 are very similar with the main difference being the escutcheon plates. Interior door and window hardware is easier to find as it seems to have been used for more years.

Can anybody tell me when they extended the plymouth wheelbase where they added on. Also does anybody know what other parts will fit on the car. Eg, will a 33 dodge door fit on a plymouth. Will a pd hood fit on a pc? What year door handles will interchange? Will window gliders from a dodge fit a plymouth. Stuff like that?
