'53 Headliner Question

Thanks for the help. I kind of figured that the visors had the trim around the edges but just did not know about the piece for your hands/fingers. Guess I will have to get the trim put on and leave the finger tab off. Thanks again.

Regarding the visors, the ones in my '53 were trimmed with a grained canvas-type material (vinyl would be close these days).  Neither the 53 nor the 54 had vinyl insets for your hands;  fabric panels with vinyl trim only.

I thank you for offering. I finally got it installed. Acme headliners had the original pale green that was what my car came with. I still have one more question though. The visor.... is there a vinyl trim around the edges and is there also a piece of vinyl on the center edge that you would put your hand on to move it?

In the upcoming week I'll try to get a chance to take pictures of the car's headliner/sun visors or anything else you might need. I can also take a look at some of the 53 literature at my father's house, although we really don't have a big collection of it. I have to say, though, both headliner and the visors aren't in great shape, so I don't know how much it'll help..

I am in the process of finishing my interior and have come to the headliner. The original was replaced years ago with a brown vinyl one. I found a small swatch of, what would appear to be, the old original liner. It was a pale green. My question is, if my interior is that green and blue/green colour what colour was the headliner? Since I am not totally sure that the swatch was from the original there in lies the reason for this question. A second question would be the visorsb ???. I know it'll be the same as the liner but was wondering if the trim around the edges was something else as so many were from those days. Hey, if one of you has a photo of their '53 headliner could you share that? Thanks all.
