1965 fury III

I believe that the bracket just bolts to the inverted "U" frame that supports the pedals - it bumps against the pedal above the point where the rod to the MC attaches.  Look for a hole - threaded - and an alignment hole - there should be a small tab that goes into one hole while the screw locks it to the inverted "U".

On my '66 it is mounted at the top of the brake pedal.? I have picture in my '66 parts manual, but I can't say for sure if 65 is the same.

In your parts manual does it show a rod that hits the buttin on the switch?

I think I might be missing a rod or somthing. because I see no way to make it work O well I might just have to take it to a shop and see if they can figure it out. thanks

I just picked up a 65 fury III converible. the brake lights didnt work and the guy who I bought it from had already takin out the brake light switch. The switch was just sitting on the floor still in the "L" bracket. I put the new switch into the "L" braket but now have no idea were the hell it goes!!!! I think it might go somewere on top because when the button on the switch is pushed in the brake lights are off and when you let the button out the brake lights turn on. If anyone can give me a clue were the switch goes back to that would be great because I have looked everywere under the dash and I dont see were it goes. THANKS!!
