40 trunk lid hinges

On my P-10 the trunk hinges are separate from the springs on the trunk lid.
Did you get the email that I sent you with the photos attached?
If so they should be able to answer your questions,

I can not see how the springs hook into the hinges.  Can you explain the setup?

P-9 or P10?

The P-9 trunk hinges are outside, while on the P-10 they are on the inside

Can anyone explain how to install the trunk hinges on a 1940 Plymouth.  Does anyone have any pictures that can be emailed regarding this.
