Thanks GO!!  I now have the owners manual, service manual and parts manual.  Sure does help as what one doesn't cover, the others seem to.

Thanks and best to ya.

Jim.

Thanks for your reply.  That confirms what  I was thinking.  Have ordered the parts manual which should keep me from asking so many questions.

Jim, The spring is disconnected because when I took the inspection cover off the bracket came off with it. It connects to the left side of the bell crank. Good luck. Rich

Your car is a REAL LOOKER!
Not too often do I see an interior as original and NICE as your's is! I am impressed.
If you every wish to add the original Cigar Lighter, or Dash Clock, let me know. I can help you there.
ENJOY!

Thank you Richard for the photos and response.  Really appreciate it.  I need to get a parts replacement manual as shop manual I have does not show this detail.

Question here -- I see per your photos that the t/o clutch yoke spring is not hooked up to anything.  Just hanging there???  Correct me if I am wrong, the parts manual, from what I can surmise shows the clutch return spring #6-27-5 is attached to bracket #6-27-6  which in turn  looks to hook up to either right or left side of bell  crank at bottom of bell crank??   With what you have sent me sure helps me .  I also have eliminated the clutch pedal over center spring to get clutch pedal to return properly.

Thank you to my33ply also for your reply and offer to help.

Jim. I've got some pictures that might help. In some of them disregard the spring on the lower right, it was just to help pull the pedal back. BTW it didn't help.

Good Morning Jim, Just read your latest post and I too am having some clutch problems. I have a P15 Deluxe 4 Dr. When I get home, I'll get the car up and send some pictures. I also have a parts manual that may show the things you need.

Tom, Go, and Tod --

Thank you so much for your kind comments.  Have the history from orig dealer, titles from first 3 owners and then a little cloudy the last 10-15 years.
With this virus, have not been willing to go to any car shows since purchase of car.  It is just a joy to drive and by far the finest of the old cars that I have owned.  Makes me wish that Dad would have let me buy the 34 Dodge coupe when I was 16 instead of the Chevys I have owned.
Good to talk to you gents.

Jim.

Thank you Chuck and Lindsey --

Will have to get my daughter to post pictures of car.  Perhaps she can show me how to do it.
Have only driven car a couple of hundred miles so far and I can report that I am truly impressed with it.  Brother and father-in-law both had 48 club coupes and really liked them.  For me, the old flatheads  are the cats meow.

Hello All --

New to this club and happy to be here!!  My ride is a 48 club coupe purchased a couple of months ago.  Am also a member of VCCA for the past 11 years.  My 48 has a few issues to be repaired and will probably ask a few questions later.  Not real computer literate as will be 80 next birthday so I need patience in certain areas of computers.  Thanks.

Jim.
