I hope that You find consolation in Your Family, church and friends - and trusty Cooper!
Time will not make You forget Your wife and Your mourning, but You may become accustomed to the pain.

I know you have both had a hard time lately with health problems, and I know your wish was for you take care of Patty until she no longer needed you, so your wish came true. You no longer need to worry about who would look after her if your illness took hold and you became incapable. Nothing could prepare you for your loss, a hundred people could advice you about preparation but when you get there it's not enough, tears rolling down your cheeks because they can, arrangements to make which you would rather not have to make. Just you and Cooper now, I know you are so pleased to have him, in the coming months he will be king of the walk, daddy at his beck and call. I will be watching you from afar, you take care.

Thanks so much Tom, I know I am not the first man to loose his wife, my Dad lost Mom to colon cancer in 1985  when Mom was only 55 so I had 13 more years than he did, but it sure isn't easy.  Patty and I buried both sets of parents and a 13 day old daughter, burying a child no parent should have to do, but loosing Patty is the hardest thing I have ever done.  I have a great family and circle of close friends and so many members of the POC and POC Facebook page that have made my sorrow easier and to all of them and YOU, MY FRIEND, I want to give a heartfelt thank you

Such a sad ending to a perfect love affair, you have never been backward in coming forward and that is what you do Bob, please accept our sincere condolences to you and your family at this difficult time. Stay strong my friend, find a shoulder to lean on when times get tough, there is no right way to grieve but don't hold back, no one will look down on you for showing feelings for your departed bride. You know you can contact me should the need arise.
