28 Dash Badge Decoding

From "the Plymouth Bulletin," Jan-Feb, 1982, no. 182, it appears your car was assembled during the last half of October, 1928.

The FEDCO plate (dash picture) is amazingly well preserved.  I'm guessing the body tag says Hayes Body Corp and is the sequential production number.  I have no info on that.  My 29U no. is 88-46139.

Looking at Tod Fitch's website, www.ply33.com, the dash badge "FedCo" number RP751E translates to a serial number of 417518.
The group of Model Q's built in Detroit starting with "4" have a serial number range of from 400001 to 436773.  There is another
group of Model Q's (earlier ???) built in Detroit with a serial number range of 379501 - 399999.

Hello All,
Thanks for welcoming me into your group.  My dad has a 1928 4dr sedan that he bought in the early 70's.  It has been stored in a garage almost all of those years and now he needs help decoding the dash badge and body tag.  I would like to start the process of researching any documentation available before we do anything to the car.  From what I have seen in all the other posts and responses you guys are very helpful and we are at your mercy.  The dash badge is RP751E  and the body tag on the driver's side floorboard is 88-4158.
