1939 Plymouth banjo steering wheel parts

Hi. Thanks for your replies. I was able to find the specs for the screws from an old Mopar standard parts manual. Ever try to find a No. 4 5/16 inch thread cutting screw? I did manage to find a spring for a 1940 Plymouth banjo steering wheel. It might work, but a photo from another old manual indicates it may be too small in diameter. Also the spring tension is critical in getting these to work right. So far I have had no luck finding a better spring at the local hardware stores. I'll look into your suggestions for additional places to try.

being that I got no reply on my earlier post, that did work for me. you can also contact French Lake Auto parts,, Moore's Salvage yard and Fat Fendered Relics, they may have a car that is beyond fixing and just may have the necessary parts. but I would buy the entire horn wire set up from beginning to end, also check the "Hollender's to see what years my be exchangeable

shot in the dark on a rainy Catskill morning at 6:30.  If you have a good mom and pops hardware store in your area you should be able to find the small screws, If you have a parts book that to the store also for the larger spring.  We have a great old hardware store that has helped me out for years with my old Plymouth

Hi all,
I recently purchased a banjo steering wheel for my 1939 Plymouth. It's missing a few of the internal parts:
- the big spring that goes between the Y-shaped contact plate and the grounding cup
- the 3 retaining screws that hold the Y-shaped contact plate to the wheel
- and possibly 3 small springs that go under these retaining screws (not sure they were used in '39)
