I wish I could answer that but none the photos I have of '29 U models show that detail. You might want to contact Jim Benjaminson.

On the 29 Radiator Shroud I guess, all exposed surfaces are pated?

But what about the front hinge loop for the engine hood.  Is that also Chrome ?
