-Trunk space-

  when we drove into holidays, I had my wife plus two daughters on board!
Immagine luggage for 2 weeks X 3 women= 6 pieces...
We had to fill the roof recess from inside , and to stack some on the rear seat and on the
propeller shaft tunnel.
The girls were small than, and the Plymouth large enough.
Anyhow, longer trips had to be done with roof closed, as on the back seats it became uncomfortable at 30 mph.

Behind the spare wheel some fasteners cut into the available space. There is room only for smaller pieces, so I carry all my spare parts there: generator, distributor, starter motor, ign coil, voltage regulator, complete tool set, Service manual, and my red Plymouth Overall. Well, it could have used for 24 pairs of shoes too....

You should think about doing luggage relining as a side job after you
retire.  The case looks like new.

I never thought about your convertible having less trunk room than my
sedan, but your convertible top well takes up quite a bit of trunk area.

Copy of the second pic is in the trunk, - it is the only configuration all three big suitcases fit into the trunk.
They have to avoid the reinforcement brackets under the trunk?s hinges.

A couple of years ago, I finally found a good set of samsonite baggage. Whatever I saw before, had a humidity smell, disqualifying it for cloth use. We use it when plymouthing into our holidays.

On the Techno Classica fair this March I ran across a vanity case, first time in 15 yerars in the same finish as my set. It was heavily darnaged inside, the handle distorted, but outside very decent. And no smell.

This weekend I tore the innards out, having collected a good stock of brass rivets and skrews and self sticking plush in these weeks.
Never having done something similar, within 4 hours, I was able to redo the complete interior - taking out, wash out the pockets, stick the plush on  and rivet  back all. The layout of the interior was very helpful, as box and cover had a fold-in configuration .

Was a nice gift for my wife this Sunday evening!
