Thank You very much for Your kind offer, but  George Asche added a handle and bowden cable, and indeed I did install it,
because when going down hill I noticed the lack of engine braking!

I hope I got the last (electrical) bug out of the OD System, so - no rain expected, I finally can try the performance.

Go,... Please excuse me, I have joined into this OD thread a little late. I have had several older vehicles with factory OD transmissions.... As a general rule the owners manuals always instructed the driver to DISENGAGE THE OD when operating in hilly areas. This is why the manual lockout cable is so important on OD units that have the freewheeling feature.
The same principle applies on modern vehicles with the AOD transmissions, if you leave the AOD in the OD mode in mountainous areas you will be using your brakes all the time in lieu of letting the engine compression assist to slow the vehicle down on the down grades...
Some where in my 'treasures' I have a OVERDRIVE handle from a FORD/Plymouth Borg Warner OD trans... The handle is in perfect condition.. I can email you a pix of the handle.. If you like the handle, you pay the postage to Germany and the handle is yours....Bill

P.S. The handle is threaded to attach to the cable end....

The "Fifth Avenue Garage" sells the Overdrive cable & bracket for $60.  They have the "engraved" handle if you want to spend the money.  You might also try searching through the US eBay site as they have a lot of new & used parts for Plymouth for sale.  ;)  I should know, I've bought a lot of parts there the past few months.    :o

I saw a pic these days with the OD- Handle engraved "OVERDRIVE" and can?t find it now.
Anyone remembers?

Will give my  handle to engrave "OVERDRIVE" when polished and sharp angles at seems smoothened...(engraved: "China")

It was on PlyBul or P15D24  forums. Posted this on both.
