Bob contacted me and we are on the same page now, it was a communication problem, most problems are in one form? or another.? I hope I can Meet Bob sometime this year.? ;D

Our officers all do a lot of work to keep the Plymouth Owner's Club a great organization.? A big thanks to all of them - past and present!

Jim,

I knew it was not anything you did, like I said, lack of communication or mis-understanding is the most likely cause - I really don't believe it was deliberate - just one of those things that triggers some emotions.  I really tried to keep a low profile because I figure many work behind the scenes to make a club like the POC work - that is the way it should be.

Hi Mark -  Just got home from a stay in the Twin Cities and got back to the website that "I" do so much work on.  Heck, its all I can do just to turn on the computer and you and I both know that.  I'll apologize for Bob's comments in the Bulletin - I didn't know anything about them until I read it myself.  I believe that Bob, like myself, has no understanding of what it takes to make up and run a website.  All I know is, you've come to this club's (and my personal) rescue more than once when it comes to computer related stuff such as this.  There was no slight intended on my part in any way, shape or form.  There is a little more to the story but I'll share that with you in private but I think you can guess who the two trouble makers are......and it ain't Bob or me! And I'll say it for all to see and read here -- we (the club) couldn't have done any of this without you and we owe you a huge debt of gratitude!  Jim B.

Mark,
Sometimes it is very difficult to keep donating ones time to something when it seems that your efforts are going un-noticed. I know the feeling  very well, I spent 28 years donating my time and energy to a Contractors Assoc., pension trust and a apprenticeship program while running my own business. I traveled across the U.S. attending more meeting than I can count in Washington DC, New York City and other major cities of the nation for expenses only. For all of this I received several industry awards and great personal satisfaction..... then things changed, I was removed from the positions I held by a new president and a couple of his supporters. I was not even given the chance to resign. I did sent the President and his Board a letter voicing my disgust with their unprofessional action and I got the last laugh because the association fell apart two years later.

I would also like to thank you for your efforts on behalf of the POC, I am quite sure that the Clubs President is by now very much aware of his mistake....Bill

Hey Mark, good for you. I think all the members really appreciate the work you do on this site. I think it is awsome.  I would say the site would not opperate as smoothly without your hard work or maybe not at all. Thanks for all the hard work and long hours on the site. Bill :D

I am the developer and administrator for our region's web site, have assisted in the development of a web site for a volunteer organization I belong to and have my own "vanity" Plymouth web site. So I have some understanding of the issues and effort involved.

This that as background, it looks to me like you are doing a great job running this web site!

Thank you!

Ok, I just got the latest issue of the Bulletin - by the way, it looks great!

I have to vent a bit here - so bear with me.

Our new president Mr. Kerico seems to have some mis-information - I know that Jim Benjaminson would never imply to him that Jim does anything with this web site - other than post replys and pay the bill for it.  Somehow, Mr. Kerico saw fit to add that to Jim's already very busy schedule "Jim Benjaminson has the club web-site more user-friendly with each passing week, as he continues to do the work of website moderator in additon to his membership secretary and treasurer jobs."

Now I am sure it is some form of mis-communication or no-communication - but moderator of a discussion board has one function - he can delete messages, threads, and users he feels are abusing their free-speech on the discussion board.  The administrator is the one who makes all this happen.  The administrator is also the one who designs the layout of the pages, the back-ups of the site, the placement of new things and all the technical work to keep the board up and the pages working.

Ross Eng was the admin till he became very sick last year.  He then hired some guys to do the work for him - they were "less than friendly" to the Plymouth Owner's club and because of that - in November - Jim and I had to work over a weekend to get the website name (plymouthbulletin.com) and as many of the details we could from the grip of the "new guys".  I took over all the functions of Administration in mid-November and set the new site up.  I maintain my own site http://www.turbinecar.com and two other web sites one for the pastor of our church, and another local car club.  Who am I?  I am Mark Olson, I am a computer systems analyst, I am a Plymouth Owner, I am the tech advisor for the 1968 Fury's, I am a very good friend of Jim Benjaminson. Jim and I share the interest in the Chrysler turbine car program - check out my website if you wonder why.

Now, why am I posting this? Well it is because I spend a good bit of time answering questions related to the web-site, replying to emails that people send to the Administrator (defaults to me) and other maintenance of this site.  I do this without any compensation.  I really did not sign up for this job and while I don't really mind doing it - in fact I really do enjoy seeing the pages I make work and be viewed.  I got this job because no one else would do it and it needed to be done.  Like so many jobs by so many of our members - I just saw a need and filled it.  But to have the president of the club, in the official publication completely dis-regard and ignore me - kind of "ticked me off"!

I will get over it.  I will keep on doing what I do - I just needed to vent here a little so bear with me.  I tried to call Mr. Kerico but he was not home, probably the best because when I first opened the Bulletin and read the President's page, I was not too calm, I am better now.
