Just curious, have you tryed the "old rope type packing" seal. That may work.. Just a thought.

typical source of leak.  How bad is it???  I have had both a new neoprene style seal put on a spray welded crank, and a new neoprene style put on a standard sized crank on a rebuilt engine.  Both leaked.  I think its a poor design leading to a widespread and chronic problem.

I,am posting this for my father, He has a pf with a straight six with a oil leak that appear to be rear main area. He has had the rear main seal replace twice with no luck. Is there a member that has the some problem,fix or is there a new type of seal that can be used. Any help would be great.
