Search this site I believe there is a thread on this but there is a wheel puller for these cars and if you have a ford club in your area there is probably someone with a hub puller. I don't remember if it was for A or T.

I believe the brake drum is integral to the wood wheel spoke casting. It would be my guess that the assembl is held into place by a castle nut on the axle stub. As to removing the assembly, I would guess that you could always resort to the old trick of removing the cap, pulling the cotter key, loosening the castle nut a couple turn, replacing the cotter key then driving the car through some turn till you hear a pop. this will indicate the assembly has released from the tapered part of the axle.

Here is a photo of the wheel puller I use for my '40 coupe.

Hopefully it is the right one for yours, but that I don't know

Hi Tod:

I don't have a wheel puller...I've taken the rear wheels off before a few years ago to rebuild the wheel cylinders and they seemed to come off at the time without an major issue. With that being said, I wouldn't even know what the correct type would be.

For now, the felloe with spokes is on there; I took off the rim for now so I could remove the tire so I can get the rims painted/powdercoated this week.

Having trouble pulling off the rear wheels/drums off the '29...any thoughts on how to do this without any damage? I've had to do this once before a few years ago but don't recall having this much trouble.
