Fuse block question

So all that current needs to go through an antique ignition switch that was not designed for much more that the little current needed for the fuel gauge? Sounds like a bit of an overload to me. I could see sneaking the electric fuel pump on to that circuit for safety/connivence but any more than that.

and, in addition to that I believe I would try to find some relays to power the devices and only run minimum current through the switches to activate the coil of the relay,  the switches will last a lot longer this way..

I am adding a small under-dash fuse block to my 6-volt 1936 P2 driver, to aid in powering the switches for a heater fan, a defroster fan, and a fuel pump. My question is: is it better to use the ignition switch or the positive terminal of the ammeter as the power source? ::)
