One more thing - Re-Registering with Noah will NOT work - unless you change your email address.  Since all correspondence is handled by the Noah system - you do NOT need to publish your email in the ad - all replies will come to you via the system and you can decide to reply or not - you do not need to give out your email to any possible purchaser.

Once you register with an email, I have to delete you and any ads you have to re-register you - so be aware of that.

I am still not sure if you are talking about your Ad becoming active (I do that not you) or something else - when you can submit an ad, you are active and logged in.  If you do not see the option to Submit Ad, you are not logged in.

Noah is no one - I am the person you get a reply from - I am sorry if I sound heated but I get many requests and fight off many spammers who seem to have nothing better to do than post ads for Viagra and work at home and make big RUPIES or whatever.

Everyone has to request a Login ID and the system will generate a password (all numbers)  This password is NOT connected to this discussion board in any way - Noah is a separate application (like Microsoft Word only runs on a Web Site.)  You must link from the email generated by the system to "Activate" your password - this is standard on many web sites - provides a way to check to see if your email works as if you do not receive the generated email, you do not get activated.

The email tells you to change your password - that is the screen that come up for you to do just that.  Change it to the same as you use here if you want.

You need to scroll all the way down to the bottom of most pages (except if you modify an ad) and enter the scramble code - this too is to prevent spam bots from posting hundreds of ads at one time.  If you get them right, you will see a notice that the password was changed.  If you don't you need to re-enter the new ones that appear if you don't get them right.

Now you can submit an ad - Again the scramble letters at the bottom need to be entered or nothing happens.

Your ad still needs to be approved for that ad to become ACTIVE - I personally have to look at the ad and decide if it is Plymouth related or Penis enhancement - if it is Plymouth - I approve it and your ad becomes ACTIVE.  All other ads (at least a few every day because we did not buy Noah - we are using the free version) get deleted and the user who knows how to bypass my security (I would hope the paid Noah would be better but I am not sure) and still gets in to post.

You cannot believe how many young Mid-Eastern men and women make money by posting ads on places like our classifieds - before I made it necessary for you to contact me, I was getting 40 or more ads and users I needed to spend hours deleting so you the users and the public would have a clean board.

I am retired now, but I do have a life, and I try to answer every question, I also realize many of you are not computer savvy so please accept my apologies if I seem a bit curt sometimes - I really do like doing this (most of the time.)

Noah is the brand name of the software - we got it free - the paid version is over $500 and since the club does not make any money from the on-line ads it is not a profitable idea to buy the better version.  From my experience, the paid version may not really be any better.  We also use the free version of BBS software here on the discussion board - it too is an application much like any other your computer would run but runs on a server.  They do have a paid version but is over $1,000 again were do we justify the cost?  Do we charge for on-line ads and discussion - that is the option.

If anyone else wants to step up and run the web site, please do not let me stop them, it is time consuming and frustrating to say the least.  Like Jim Benjaminson says in the newest issue (309) about his own problems with members not following instructions "Are your ears burning, yet" - read it and understand his frustrations.

I am a little confused and usually have a hard time using Noah's service and wondered if someone could clear up a few questions for me. 1. the main page shows I am logged in but my profile status is Inactive...that doesn't make sence. 2. If I log out, then attempt to log in (to possibly manage to become Active) my user name is not recognised! 3. In the past I have sent my questions to Noah's email address and did not get answers only a seemingly heated reply about how hard it is to manage the Noah's website, why would this be? Afterall it is a service to POC and its members. 4. I may be confusing the issue, but I have re-registered with Noah's to further attempt to become Active. 5. Yes, I have posted ads there in years past and have found it to be valuble and current. Thanks
