Thanks Doran, yes that is exactly what I am looking for, I recently collected another Plymouth toolkit with bag and it would seem that there are diiferent sized bags used either for various years or models, Same lengths so far but different widths. I think there is a possability that a higher line Plymouth used a larger bag but that is only a guess at this point.
From what I have seen there was no seperate part # for the bag ( not serviced seperately ) so it will be difficult to determine what the story is with that.
I would love to see pict. of your bag, how it was made ect. Thanks for that page

I have never been to Ault Park but your car must be splendid to have been displayed there, any pict? Did you ever see a jack for your car, I have a couple of possabilitys and maybe you can confirm one of them?

By the way, I collected a tool kit for my '34 that is a replica of the photo by Jim Benjaminson that you mentioned in a related post.  My Mother sewed together a facsimile of the bag shown in that picture.  I do not know if the tools are correct, but they look like the tools in the picture.

Perhaps we have met at Ault Park.  Our coupe has been displayed there in 2008 and again this year on June 12.

I was hesitant to post this here because i dont want to overload anyone here but since I have had great responses so far what the heck, disregard the research dates, I would welcome ANY help from ANY year car owner and will just add that info to what I have gathered so far and it will help others in the future.......Thanks again..................


Hello,  I have been studying what the original toolkits consisted of for our cars and have made alot of progress, as many of you may or may not know there has never been any original factory photos of the toolkits for any Chrysler produced vehicle before  1935 ( that I know of ) that has ever surfaced so any car owners  that fell prior to this date have taken the word of shady e-bay sellers whom don't care either way whether what they are selling is correct or not.
I believe also due to the fact that AACA judging not deducting points for missing tool-kits in past years has played a big part in auto enthusiasts not taking the extra step to making there cars complete and correct but as can already be seen major judging standards are changing in favor of cars with correct complete toolkits.
I have been able to cross reference the few part numbers for Plymouth that I do have with other known Chrysler vehicles part numbers from original kits and in this way I am able to determine what alot of these tools were that made up the Plymouth toolkits but I need some help.
I need  a copy of the model specific parts manual TOOLS SECTION  ( which has always been one single page thus far ) for all years of Plymouth cars 1928-1938 or so.
I have to set a cut-off or I will never complete this so I have tried to end at 38 but it would seem that there were some major changes in 36 so I may have to expand my studies a little to answer more questions.
I don't need the Master Parts Books tools section for a couple of reasons first and foremost the information has proven to be very inaccurate when compared to the year specific model specific information and secondly I have some of these copies already.

Also if you own any other Chrysler produced make and have that makes specific parts book and would be willing to scan the tools page it would be greatly appreciated as well.
I have been doing this because no one else has and their are people that care enough about restoring their cars correctly but dont have the hours upon hours upon hours to try and research these kits themselves
