As Go stated, in Europe the gas price is about $6 in Germany, about 1.32 euro. In my the Netherlands it is 1.42 per liter.
The diesel about 1.09 per liter 3 day's ago, but now it has dropped to 1.05
You can put your money in the bank and ask for interest of about 2%, I think you can ?arn"more if you gamble when to fill up your tank, today or tomorrow............

By the way, I've read an economy report about what is happening. Is there someting good in a high oil price.
In china everything in made very cheap. They are copying all they can and bring it on to there own and western markets at cheaper prices. Western companies are "forced" to do buisiness in china because otherwise that are out by the high cost of local employment.
The danger for China is the high price in fuel. This will make transport costly. Raw material into China, goods out of China. So the conclusion of the article was at high oil prices it is less economic to have things made that far away. It is a danger for the Chinees economy. Perhaps someting to think about.

We have just completed our trip up the east coast from Florida to Maine.  These prices were between April 25th and April 30th.

Dade City Florida $2.89.9

Tifton Georgia $2.85.9

Columbia Couth Carolina $2.85.9

Statesville North Carolina $2.92.9

Charleston W. Virginia $2.97.9

Newburgh New York $307.9

Falmouth Maine $287.9

The prices didn't vary as much as we thought they would.  Also the day we left Florida the news was stating that there were places that didn't have gas.  We didn't find that to be true........

Today in D?sseldorf /Germany 1 Liter "Super" Gas is 1.32  EURO
Euro is 1,20 Dollars these days, a Gallon is 3,785 liters.
So a gallon here is nearly 6 $

Diesel is 1,12 a liter , so makes 5,08 Dollars a gallon.

My flatty likes 15,5 liters on 100 km,... hope not to mistake i.e. 40 cents a mile

Federal taxes are 76  of all this...

I got back from Scotland last Wednesday - I paid 1.05 Pounds not dollars a liter. That figures with the crappy value of the us $ to be about $6.88 a gallon US money and measure.  I was talking to some Scots and they were wondering what we were complaining about at $3 a gallon - one of them said to his wife - "we're moving to America!"

I know it sucks but it is still not a high as it was (with inflation) in the 70's with the Iran crisis.

Here I am setting here in Florida waiting for 5 more days to go by before heading to Maine.  WIth these gas prices, a trip of 1800 miles isn't going to be cheap.  It sure takes the fun out of driving when you have to pull up and have to  flock out $50.00 to fill up one in  these so called U.S. made economy vans......No wonder foreign vehicles are taking over the roads in the United States.   Why can't our American leaders see and do something about this problem?  Its cripling everyone............                   John

Price of gas in the Toronto, Canada area this morning is $1.10 CDN / Liter.  This works out to $3.53 US per US gallon.  How high can it go?????

I just got back from getting gas for both lawn mowers.
It has risen eight cents since early this morning.
Now here in the Catskills it is 3.10.9 a gallon for regular, 90 plus cents of that is Federal and State tax.
Neversink is a small hamlet with a lumber yard, Post Office, grocery store and bank.
The gas station here is the only one on this road for approx 30 miles, but the price is not that much more expensive at Ellenville on the east end of the road or Liberty on the west end of the road.

I drove up to Paso Robles, CA yesterday from Ventura. Gasoline is 2.89  in most stations in Ventura, the price in Paso is 3.08 for 87 oct unleaded ranging up to 3.27 for diesel/91 oct.  A fellow in the station told me the price of gas in Paso jumped .23 a gallon over night last week.
Paso is located on 101 about half way between LA and San Francisco, hiway 46 also comes into Paso from I-5, Fresno to the east. This makes Paso a VERY popular town to stop in for fuel and/or a lunch break. Since the Easter/Spring Break is just ending..... I wonder?????..... How much of the added cost for fuel is simply a matter of more speculation by the oil Companys to see what the traffic will bear.

It is interesting to note that as the fuel milage on the newer cars has improved, the cost of fuel has gone up to make up for the lower fuel consumption. If you think back to the draught of a few years ago. The water companys tried the same tactic to raise prices on water because people were following the guide lines of the water company to cut back on useage..Bill

Remember, if you want to compaire the price of gas from state to state or even city to city you have to remove the amount of tax and then look at how the price of the GAS compaires.

The gas prices here in central Indiana has been up to $2.89.9. Today, I noticed it was "down" to $2.81.9. What a bargain! I can remember when young, I rolled into the gas station out of gas and put in $1.00 worth. That $1.00 gave me nearly 1/2 a tank. I must admit; however, that I was working in a drug store for $.50 per hour.

Week before last I returned from a trip to Idaho. The price of fuel (gasoline) was 2.24 gal in Idaho Falls, 2.48 in Twin Falls, 2.30 in Well's NV, 2.65 in Ely Nv, 2.86 in Tonopa NV, 3.01 in Bishop/Big Pine CA and 2.89 in Ventura. Now tell me............why the big spread on pricing??. There are no refineries within 250 miles of Idaho Falls and none within 300 miles of Well's/Ely NV.  I think the price of fuel is more a matter of what will the traffic bear ....Bill

Well, its been 4 days since I really noticed the price of gas here in Zephyrhills Florida but then I paid $2.75.9 a gallon to fill up.  The total for that filling was $49.84.  Thats terrible in my book.  In another week I will be traveling approximately 1750 miles.  Makes me disgusted to think how much that trip home will cost.........                 John
