Check this auction out guys...According to the seller, this bypass elbow fits Dodge, Desoto and Chrysler 6 cyl's...Notice that the nipple is offset a little unlike my Plymouth elbow which is straight on...Anybody know why this would be? This is tempting but I don't think I can get away with it.

Well, I figured out where my coolant leak is coming from. I mentioned in my previous "leaky radiator cap" thread...that I thought it might be coming from the head or the water pump. Well, since then...I discovered the leak was actually coming from farther up...from the bypass hose. After removing it...and the bypass elbow I found that the elbow was quite corroded...to the point where there is very little left to it's nipple...so there's very little left to clamp the hose on. Does anyone have a spare laying around? They're not very available...Bernbaum has them but his price is $40.00!...for basically a little plumbing elbow. I'll post a photo later.

Note: This is a 1941 Plymouth with a 1950 Plymouth Flatty 6 cyl. Not sure if the water pump bypass elbow is the same for those years or not. If anyone has that info...I sure would love to know as well.
