Turn signal question

Thanks to those who offered a thought or answer to my question.

One thing I discovered is:  there seems to be no standardization in wire colors of
aftermarket turn signals.   They all work on the same principle, but use different
color wires for those functions.   

I finally received a reply from a fellow on the P5-D24 forum who had the same signal
I do......and sure enough, the thing worked fine once it was hooked up right.  Ah, well............
live and learn.

Thanks for the offer Pat.     Guess I just need to experiment by joining the wires that are same colors on the old and
new signal switches, then use trial and error on the other 3 or 4 that don't match up.   Just trying to save the time
but no one seems to have the exact same switch.     Looked for the manufacturer on the net, but didn't come up
with anything.

I have a wiring diagram for the Arrow #285 turn signal. It includes a diagram for a 4 wire (not using brake light) application and a 7 wire (using stoplight switch) application.

I've installed a few turn signal kits of various makes over the years. It's my understanding that the wiring setup is basically the same for all makes of switches, although the wire colors may differ from one make to the other.

Hello everyone.   
I bought a turn signal, made by Auto Lamp Co of Chicago, model 9000.....looks like the one
below.   It has the self cancelling rubber wheel.

Trouble is, it didn't come with a wiring diagram.   

I was wondering if anyone here had one.   Thanks.    Bob
